(Newser) – One way to lose your Miss Delaware Teen USA crown: star in a sex video. Melissa King is not admitting she did just that, but she has given up her crown after questions about an online sex video were raised. A porn website posted the video, which it claims stars King, on Monday; the woman in question does look and sound like the 18-year-old, the News Journal reports, though she never identifies herself in the video.

In a phone interview yesterday, King said the video star is "absolutely not" her. But her attorney has submitted a resignation letter to the pageant, a rep confirms. Her attorney also said a statement would be issued at some point. The video is advertised as "Miss Teen Delaware does porn," and along with the sex scenes, features a picture of King being crowned in November. Asked why she's making the video, the woman in the tape answers, "I thought it would be fun and I needed the money."

Wonder what she needed the money for that she couldn't ask her family. Abortion maybe?
