Eastwood Signs GOP's Gay Marriage Brief

'We're making a big deal out of things we shouldn't,' he's said in past

(Newser) – Add Clint Eastwood to the growing line of Republicans throwing their weight behind an amicus brief filed with the Supreme Court in support of gay marriage, reports Breitbart. The empty-chair whisperer and longtime Libertarian/Republican is perhaps the biggest name yet to sign the brief, and he hasn't exactly been shy in the past about his views: He told GQ in 2011 that he doesn't "give a f*** about who wants to get married to anybody else" and that instead of "all this bullsh** about 'sanctity,'" we should "just give everybody the chance to have the life they want." CNN notes that last year he told Ellen DeGeneres that his attitude is "part of the Libertarian idea: Leave everybody alone."

More importantly, why are republicans quoting Obama's "being right" on gay marriage? Oh that's right: http://news.yahoo.com/predict-presidential-elections-by-demographic-interactive-widget-225441066.html

Posting for those of you who did not see this damning chart for the destructive fate of the GOP. The GOP is doing the Gay Marriage signing to suck up for votes.  NOTE: This chart will put this article in full perspective. http://news.yahoo.com/predict-presidential-elections-by-demographic-interactive-widget-225441066.html

Suddenly for some strange reason the Republicans are the party of Gay Marriage and Immigration Reform.  I wonder why?  I thought they were a party of conviction, or is that convictions...
