The host of the Rifleman's Journal show on the Sportsman Channel was shot to death by a jealous husband in Montana, reports the AP. Gregory Rodriguez, 43, was killed by Wayne Bengston, 41, after Bengston caught Rodriguez visiting his wife, police say. Bengston pistol-whipped his wife, drove off, then killed himself. Rodriguez, whose show followed his exotic hunting trips, was the founder of supply store Global Adventure Outfitters. He also was an editor at Shooting Times Magazine.

Police don't think Rodriguez and the woman were having an affair. She works for a gun manufacturer, and the two struck up a friendship after meeting at a trade show, says the local police chief. They were sharing a glass of wine in the kitchen when Bengston burst in Thursday night. "It's pretty much an open-and-closed case," says the chief. "Homicide and suicide."
