(Newser) – April 22, 2013: It's not just Earth Day, people. It's also the date that will go down in history as the moment McDonald's offered a yolk-free Egg McMuffin nationwide. The Daily Meal reports that the egg-white version, dubbed the Egg White Delight, shaves 50 calories off the standard version's 300. It's also, per McDonald's, a "premium option." Unlike its competitors' microwaved preparation, the whites will be fried "free-form on the griddle with a spatula," explains the Daily Meal, then placed on a whole-grain English muffin and topped with Canadian bacon and a slice of white cheddar. The Christian Science Monitor adds that customers will be able to order egg-white-only versions of McDonald's other breakfast sandwich for an undisclosed added charge.

I don't like those.  I would like them even less if they took out the yolks.  Do people who are so interested in eating healthy eat at McDonald's anyway?  Come on!  Their supposedly healthy oatmeal is so loaded with extaneous tidbits that it defeats the idea of "healthy".  I get a meal now and then from McDonald's, but it isn't a healthy meal.  I know that.
