(NEWSER) - The Florida man who allegedly killed his wife and shot two pastors yesterday had been on probation for killing a previous wife, the AP reports. Jeremiah Fogle, 57, was sentenced to 10 years' probation in 1987 for fatally shooting wife-of-five-months Diane Fogle at home with a rifle. Prosecutors at the time reduced the charge from first-degree murder to manslaughter and recommended probation, saying he had handled the gun in a "negligent, careless, and reckless manner." More»

Killer gave Leiby Kletzky muscle relaxers, anti-psychotic drug, Tylenol

(NEWSER) - Leiby Kletzky was heavily drugged before his killer smothered, then dismembered him, according to a medical examiner. Hardware store clerk Levi Aron allegedly gave the 8-year-old Brooklyn boy a muscle relaxant, painkillers, and quetiapine—an anti-psychotic used to treat schizophrenia, reports NBC . Autopsy results also indicate that Leiby was killed on July 13, two days after he was kidnapped and mere hours before cops arrived at Aron's apartment to discover the grisly scene. More»
