For a fun night, visit the local ... prison? Seems inmates in Venezuela have built their own nightclub and hosted an inaugural bash including strippers and a light show, AFP reports. According to a local paper, the inmates at a prison on Margarita Island invited friends and family over for the "Yacht Club" bash Thursday night and partied until the wee hours. The affair highlights Venezuela's rampant crime problem and overcrowded, violent prisons, where convicts often intimidate or bribe their way to controlling the facility. One NGO estimates that Venezuela has incarcerated 48,000 people, almost three times more than its prisons can officially hold. (More Venezuela stories.)
