(Newser) – The see-through yoga pants scandal has claimed at least one victim: Lululemon yesterday announced that its chief product officer will exit April 15. Sheree Waterson had design, merchandise management, and global production under her purview, reports the Wall Street Journal, and had been with the company since 2008. In a statement, the company also assumed some of the blame for the costly mishap, explaining that while the fabric did register on the low end of its standards scale, its testing procedures weren't up to snuff. The CEO had previously said the fabric "had to be engaged in a four-way stretch for the sheerness to appear."

"had to be engaged in a four-way stretch for the sheerness to appear." In other words "Our customers are buying the wrong sizes, yet it's hard for us to tell them that because they will think we are calling them fat. Because our product is on the High-Mid end of pricing we can't afford with our current pricing policies to risk the off chance of inadvertently offending them. So we will let this person go on to employment elsewhere with a good recommendation. Please be advised when buying clothes of proper form and fit for the style and fabric you are buying. As not everyone looks good in a silver lamé suit not everyone belongs in our product, but if you chose to buy our product, make sure that your ass can fit in without stretching the material beyond a certain tension. If your ass stretches the fabric beyond that tension get the next size up and don't worry about what others will think. In FACT THEY WILL THINK WORSE OF YOU IF YOUR PANTS DON"T FIT RIGHT."
