(Newser) – A 15-year-old California girl committed suicide in September, just days after she was allegedly sexually assaulted. Now, three 16-year-old boys have been arrested in the case, NBC Bay Area reports. Photos of the alleged attack were posted on the Internet; before her suicide, Audrie Pott wrote on Facebook that "the whole school knows…. My life is ruined." The boys are being held in juvenile detention ahead of a hearing next week; they haven't yet been charged.

A lawyer for the family described the attack: "Based on what we know, she was unconscious; there were multiple boys in the room with her ... They did unimaginable things to her while she was unconscious." The family decided to release Pott's name in hopes that the story would help prevent such incidents in the future. The parents hope the boys are tried as adults. "What these boys did is beyond unconscionable," says the lawyer. "They should be held to the highest standard of the law to make sure this never ever happens again." The news comes amid reports of a similar story in Canada.

How disgusting! It is this kind of behavior that makes me wonder if there is any hope left for mankind. The Kermit Gosnell infanticide case especially makes me wonder if there's any hope. But then I have to look at the many good people on earth who do good and virtuous things and it renews my hope. The fact is, we live in a sinful world and there are wicked people out there. I just hope and pray that all people would be converted to Catholicism which is the pillar and bulwark of the Truth.

For those of you not familiar with the area, Saratoga is an upscale, tony bedroom community in Silicon Valley (aka Santa Clara County, CA, USA). It calls itself a city, yet has no police department, but instead pays for law enforcement services through the Santa Clara County Sheriffs Department. Being upscale (a lot of 1% people live there that's for sure: www.city-data.com/city/Saratoga-California.html), crime is rare to hardly existent in Saratoga (www.city-data.com/crime/crime-Saratoga-California.html) since only the rich need apply when trying to rent or buy an address in the 'city' (& that tends to discourage a lot of the 'blue collar' working-class criminal types from getting an address there). This 'crime' these teens 'committed' occurred last September (www.mercurynews.com/crime-courts/ci_23008220/south-bay-teens-arrested-rape-case-tied-girls?source=most_viewed) but the legal system for criminals, such as it is in Saratoga, just has these guys getting arrested yesterday for the assault that led to that girls suicide last September (life really is different for the 1%). Which reminds me, I'm looking forward to Neill Blomkamp's new Sci-Fi flick coming out this Summer www.hitfix.com/news/matt-damon-battles-robots-in-stunning-first-elysium-trailer-watch

Just put the boys in adult prison and let them get their bunghole stretched a few times. Maybe then they will understand what they did and how it feels.
