Police have charged 18-year-old Neil Allan MacInnis of Christiansburg, Virginia, with yesterday's shooting at a community college inside a mall that left two women injured, reports AP. Gawker, though, has the most disturbing angle to the story: A poster named "neil Macinnis" went on the 4chan online message boards just minutes before the assault at New River Community College and announced it was about to happen. "I'm gonna give y'all the details because the news never gets it right," said the post, which spelled out the gun ("Stevens 320 shotgun") and ammo to be used. It also noted that he was "10 minutes from Virginia Tech," reports USA Today.

Police haven't confirmed the connection yet. Survivors, meanwhile, say the shooter walked around as students hid in classrooms and pretended to be a police officer in an attempt to draw people out. "The guy's a terrible actor," one tells the Roanoke Times. "I knew it was just a matter of holding still as long as possible until the real police got there." An off-duty mall security guard and two police officers had him subdued within five minutes. The two female victims are in stable condition. (More school shooting stories.)
