(Newser) – More confusion and stress in Boston: The federal courthouse had to be evacuated briefly today over a bomb threat, reports ABC News. Police conducted an hourlong sweep and gave the all-clear to return late this afternoon. The courthouse was especially packed after reports surfaced that a suspect in the marathon bombings had been arrested, reports the Boston Herald. The FBI has since insisted that no arrests have been made and scolded the national media. Because of the bomb scare, authorities have postponed a 5pm news conference to talk about progress in the investigation.

Quite frankly I am surprised (and somewhat disappointed) that Queen Dianne and her royal consort Prince Obama have not called for stronger gun control in light of the Boston Marathon bombings. Everyone knows that bomb makers get all of the materials they need from the owners of guns and the only way to stop the criminals is stop gun owners from owning guns. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. All of the gun rights supporters will tell you this won't work but until we try it how will we know? And if it doesn't work we can always change the laws back to what they were, can't we?
