(Newser) – See if this sounds familiar: Rutgers has suspended a men's coach on allegations of verbal abuse. This time, it's lacrosse coach Brian Brecht, but the university hasn't released any details of the investigation, reports the Star-Ledger of New Jersey. The school has been poring over practice tapes of all its coaches in the wake of the Mike Rice debacle, in which the basketball coach got caught berating his players to such a degree that it earned a Saturday Night Live parody. Brecht, 40, will keep earning his $130,000 salary during the investigation, reports AP. His team is 2-11 this year.

BIG BUNCH of babies: We grew up w/sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me...also to: I'll bet the coach was just trying to prepare those guys for a tough sport...It's good to somethimes take a little berating, it builds character. I was cursed every day many times per day in Boot camp for twelve long weeks but towards the end of the training we started to get better and it motivated us and at the end, tha tfoul mouthed stinking D.I. got us to respect him for making us motivated enough to get over the berating and to BUCK-UP, and show him we were better than his words and we did and he said so...Men do need to be broken down and reshaped to make something of them. As a Potter makes the clay any shape he wants and may have to break it down to start over again. IT is in HIS hands and that's that! IF they can't handle the heat get out of the kitchen and don't eat!!

$130 grand for a Lacrosse coach? No wonder college is so expensive now.
