(Newser) – Fenway Park offered up a number of tributes to the Boston Marathon victims at yesterday's Red Sox game, a matchup with the Kansas City Royals that had been delayed due to Friday's manhunt for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. But the biggest surprise may have been Neil Diamond's appearance. He performed "Sweet Caroline," a song Boston fans typically sing during the seventh-inning stretch at Fenway Park, and led the crowd in singing along, E! reports. Making the day even sweeter for the city: The Sox beat the Royals 4-3, the AP reports.

TRUTH BE TOLD ...... "False Bravado" ... Every politician and entertainer whips up the crowds into a frenzy over the killing of (one), and the capture of (one), of the Boston bombers .. when in real life any expert would tell you .. the Boston bomber capture was a laughable fiasco. REALLY .... As seen on national TV .. it was a '3 stooges' led operation, by (Obama, Napolitano, and Moeller) of the Boston bomber capture .. with 'no' central command center, or sub-command centers set-up .. to plan and handle all the thousands of federal, state, county, and city law enforcement personal that were on hand. Like the Keystone cops, they ran from place to place .. with nobody in charge of assigning them to their specialized expertise .. with most of the cops standing with their fingers up their ass, drinking coffee and eating donuts. --- NOT one cop there, had a clue, on what the hell was going on, and just stood around bull-shitting. NOT ONE of the thousands of federal, state, county, and city law enforcement people, located or did 'anything' to contain the (one) Boston bomber in a confined perimeter or area. --- The Boston bomber capture was pure luck. THE TRUTH ... IF not for the homeowner who did the job that thousands of law enforcement people couldn't do .. the (one) Boston bomber .. would have escaped or died from loss of blood .. and they call the bungling (3 stooges) led .. law enforcement (Keystone cops) hero's? --- The Mayor shut the whole city down with a lock-down, for absolutely nothing .. and it was the homeowner who saved him from looking like a fool. TRUTH BE TOLD ..... The Bin Laden killing and the Boston bomber killing and capture, are just a couple of victories in a few battles, in what in reality, will be a very, very, long war. --- Like President Bush said after 09-11 .. make no mistake .. It's going to be a long and difficult war on terror. TRUTH BE TOLD ..... The US can't afford these (3 stooges) Obama, Napolitano, and Moeller led (Keystone Cops) National Security Operations, in response to bombings .. and "somebody" has to show some leadership .. the next time there's a bombing. --- Obama, Napolitano, and Moeller, can't count on luck, to keep doing the job they can't do. -------------------------------------------------------------- REALLY

Yeah, too bad Neil couldn't at least sing along with the recording. Never heard someone do it so badly. Other singers can sing right along and stay perfectly synchronized.

MY GOSH... Neil's voice is still tremendous! And what an appropriate song to sing to Boston... even if it does give tribute to Caroline !!!! Beautiful song and beautiful singing, even though I am a guy saying this!
