A French fisherman was swimming near an Australian yacht club when he felt something odd, "like rocks hitting on my head." It turned out to be an 8-foot crocodile, Australia's ABC News reports. "He just hit me on the top, on the left side, and on top of my neck and tried to push me down in the water," says Yoann Galeran, 29. His response: "I punched him anywhere." He beat the croc in two separate encounters, his boss says.

But his head did end up in the croc's mouth for a split second, he tells NT News. He finally made it to his friends on a nearby boat. When they found him, he was "standing there with a big grin on his face and blood pouring out of him," the boss says. Galeran ended up with puncture wounds on his head, neck, and back, but nothing serious, says a local official. Galeran's recommendation for the croc's future, per the Local: "I think they need to do something with him, probably kill him." (More crocodile stories.)
