(Newser) – Next up in the sportsmanship fail category: A Little League coach in New Jersey has been charged with assault after police say he smacked a teenage ump in the head, reports the Asbury Park Press. The 43-year-old got an extra-special assault charge because the alleged incident happened in front of kids ages 10 to 12. Witnesses say the coach argued a call, got ejected, then gave the 17-year-old umpire an open-handed thwack to the ear. The teen wasn't hurt. Thomas Murphy has been suspended from all league events in the interim.

Obama tells Students to not listen to those who preach 'The Tyranny of the Government', under his (leadership)? the number of assaults on Umpires has risen drastically, as has the number of killings by Black youths. Now does that fact that the US has a gutless leader tend to worsen these incidents or is it purely coincidental? Makes you think.

I was an umpire for a bit when I was playing baseball as a teen. Paid well for my age and got paid in cash.. If a coach or the parents hassled me, I would deliberately make sure that their kid got shafted on his next at bat.
