¿Como Se Dice ‘Caucus’ En Español?

(Newser) – Iowa and New Hampshire may get most of the crowning glory, but Nevada's demographics make its "First in the West" contest a significant political battleground, the Las Vegas Sun says. As the state caucused today, the hometown paper polishes off the differences between the Silver State and its two predecessors—namely a Hispanic population that makes up almost a quarter of the state's total, and a transient population up 30% since 2000.

Iowa and New Hampshire, by contrast, are considerably less diverse racially and ethnically—with Hispanics numbering less than 4% in either state, the paper says. Nevada won an early caucus because of its maverick status, but analysts are unsure how that will impact voting.
