(Newser) – Another train accident is making headlines: A cargo train derailed near an industrial park just outside Baltimore about 2pm, setting off a thunderous explosion, reports the Baltimore Sun. The train reportedly hit a truck, and the vehicle's driver was in serious condition. So far, no other injuries have been reported. No word on what the train might have been carrying, but a county spokesperson says the smoke wasn't toxic. Authorities evacuated a 20-block area as a precaution.

The AP says industrial buildings near the explosion collapsed, though it was unclear whether they were occupied. Hazardous waste teams were on the site. “It was enough to scare the leaving bejesus out of you,” says one employee of a seafood shop near the blast.

It is a freight train... not a cargo train... what is wrong with the news media? They are deliberately trying to change our language THEIR way! And don't use dictionaryisms... diction is not definition. Dictionaries are tomes of mis-used words.

Hello new internet stars. That video was awesome. Am I the only one impressed with that kid for not freaking out? Terrible parenting, by the way. Taking your kid toward a giant fire is not recommended by Dr. Spock. I'll give them credit for immediately turning around, though.
