The big three for the San Antonio Spurs heated up at the right time, as the Spurs stifled the Nuggets 97-88 last night, to even their series at one apiece. Tim Duncan led the way with 22 points, Tony Parker dropped in 20, and Manu Ginobili scored 17 off the bench.

The Spurs were desperate to salvage one game at home, and were up to the task. “A sense of urgency is what kept us matching that aggressiveness,” Ginobili said. The Nuggets, who shot just 38.6% for the game, can be content with a split as the teams travel to Denver for Game Three on Saturday. (More NBA stories.)
