Suns Dominate Nets 116-92

Posted Jan 21, 08 3:11 AM CST in Sports

(Newser) – The Phoenix Suns' 116-92 dispatching of New Jersey marked the fourth straight time they have held an opponent to under 100 points—their best such streak this season. This win came off a balanced and solid effort from the Suns' starting six, who all scored at least 12 points and combined for 11 three-pointers, the Arizona Republic reports.

Richard Jefferson topped out at 24 points for the Nets, who gave up 17 turnovers to the Suns' 10 and shot just 22% from behind the arc. For the Suns, Raja Bell nailed five three-pointers and Amare Stoudemire led the team's scoring with 28 points while pulling in nine boards; wiry point guard Steve Nash had 13 points and doled out nine assists.
