For the first time in eleven years, Washington swept their series with Dallas with a 102-84 win—the Mavericks' worst loss of the season. It was just one more in a litany of impressive wins for the Gilbert Arenas-free Wizards, who have also beaten the NBA-leading Celtics twice in their last six games. Also in pro hoops:

  • In a rematch of Friday's game against the Clippers, little changed; the Jazz again had seven players score in double digits and won, 109-93.
  • The SuperSonics remain winless in 2008 after losing a surprisingly close 96-89 game to the Rockets, who got 30 and 17 from Yao Ming.
