(Newser) – The Taliban is being controlled by Pakistan and Islamabad could bring fighting in Afghanistan to a halt "in weeks" if it gave the order, the chief of the Afghan National Army tells the BBC. The Taliban's "leadership is in Pakistan," Sher Mohammad Karimi says, accusing Afghanistan's neighbor of "unleashing" the militants on the country. A NATO report earlier this year found that Pakistan was well aware that Taliban leaders had found refuge within its borders.

Despite its public denunciations of drone strikes, Pakistan is complicit in the program and gives the US military lists of targets, Karimi claims. "The drones are used against those Taliban who are Pakistani Taliban," he says. "The drones are never used against Haqqani or Afghan Taliban." Pakistan says at least 17 people were killed in a US drone strike in the North Waziristan region today, the biggest such strike this year, Reuters reports.

Pakistan through out time has never had a mind of its own. Whether they were ruled by a dictator or a popular vote they just don't seem to have it. to take their country to the next level and making a nuclear bomb don't even come on the top ten list of things the government and people could do to make it a money maker. If America and our friends don't help Pakistan than they will fall right into the hands of the Taliban and run by the Taliban. Just like what's going to happen when we leave Afghanistan. Something that really pisses me off is our government must be expecting the same thing to happen cause they want to bring the Taliban to the peace table what sense does that make. If anybody wants to make peace with the Taliban than it should be the country that wants peace with them. President Karzai of Afghanistan is pissed at Obama cause he wants to hold peace talks with the Taliban that's why Obama has such a poor Foreign Affairs he either don't listen to his people or don't give a crap but he needs to listen to the experts cause China is in the lead in business contracts in Africa we cannot let China over take us in Africa and our government knows it.

Pakistan is more out of control than n korea is. Pakistan is like a boil on the butt of the earth, it needs to be drained and fried up and go away forever. They contribute absolutely nothing at all to the world economy, the world society and to mankind. We could do without this POS country.

Is it just me or do all the leaders of Afghanistan look like they are on drugs?
