(Newser) – Video of a Czech woman falling onto subway tracks just before a train arrives turns from horrifying to amazing as she emerges unscathed. The woman appears to be falling asleep on her feet as she stumbles onto the tracks, reports the Telegraph. A man arrives a second too late to catch her, then (probably wisely) concludes he doesn't have enough time to jump down and rescue her. Luckily, she landed in exactly the right spot for safety. When she's pulled out from between cars, the woman simply dusts herself off and moves on.

In New York City drunks, druggies, victims who are pushed, etc. can lie in the trough between the tracks and not be harmed. There have been scores of people in the past few months who have been killed who didn't know this and paniced and tried to get off the tracks.

Rail wheels can leave a height clearance of 12 to 16 inches. European trains tend to be higher to allow for better clearance of things that can crawl or fall on the tracks especially in rural areas.
