(Newser) – The Kings led the New Jersey Nets by 11 after the first period and never looked back as Sacramento cruised to a 128-94 victory. Ron Artest led all scorers with 27 points. The mercurial small forward also grabbed six boards, dished four assists, swiped five steals and, for good measure, blocked a shot, AP reports.

For New Jersey it was the second straight blowout loss after Sunday’s 116-92 debacle in Phoenix. The Nets have now lost seven of their last eight games after ripping off a five-game winning streak. New Jersey played decently on the offensive end, but did little on the defensive side of the ball, surrendering their highest point total of the season.
