With Baldwin appearing on "The View" this morning to apologize to Ireland for the furious voicemail leaked last week, the LA Times revisits the gory custody battle.

Basinger accuses her ex of being prone to "rage episodes"—a claim bolstered by the voicemail in which Baldwin called his daughter a "rude, thoughtless little pig." Baldwin, now a self-styled fathers' rights activist, says Basinger forced him to get a court order to take Ireland to "The Cat in the Hat." (More Alec Baldwin stories.)
