Los Angeles police have charged a suspect with murder, alleging that he was the driver who plowed his car through a crowded boardwalk on Venice Beach, killing one and injuring at least 11. Nathan Campbell, 38, is currently being held on $1 million bail, reports the LA Times, though police haven't released a motive. Witnesses describe a driver plowing through crowds of people at 60mph, though other accounts cite slower speeds. Thirty-two-year-old Alice Gruppioni of Italy has been identified as the fatality in the incident. Partial video of the crash is available here, and here of its aftermath.
