The National Rifle Association has unveiled a new museum—inside a gun store. The National Sporting Arms Museum, inside a sprawling Bass Pro store in Springfield, Mo., features close to 1,000 firearms, including ones owned by historical figures as diverse as Teddy Roosevelt, Napoleon Bonaparte, and Jesse James, Reuters reports.

"If you are a gun person, you are going to love this place," says the museum's director. "These guns came from the NRA collection built over 80 years, but a lot came from special collections that haven't had a place for display." The museum, which traces the history of guns in the US, is "not political," the director says, although one gallery is named "Second Amendment." (More National Rifle Association stories.)
