(Newser) Hannah Anderson again poked her head out in public yesterday, appearing at a car-wash fundraiser for her family. It's the second such event she's attended in a week, and meant to raise cash for funerals for her slain mother and brother, as well as counseling for the California teenager. “It’s wonderful that [the community] is out here helping her," said dad Brett Anderson. "She just wanted to come out and thank these people personally."

Of his daughter's mental state in the wake of being rescued from kidnapper James DiMaggio, Anderson said, "It's very difficult. Every moment is difficult for her." Hannah "looked every bit the California teenager," notes NBC, and was seen thanking and hugging friends and neighbors. “It’s amazing to see her," said an event organizer. "It made my day."

You guys that think Hannah was a co-conspirator, I have to ask you, what was in it for her? And if she had a relationship with DiMaggio, why did she say, "he deserves what he got." She didn't shed a tear saying that. If they were con-conspirators "in love" their exit plan was a crock. I mean, they went to the rugged wilderness of Idaho and ditched their car; they didn't go to the very close, convenient (and sexier) shores of Mexico. It sounds to me like DiMaggio was an extremely codependent and immature guy...codependent because he stuck to the family like flies on a turd, and immature because he was more interested in being around kids. In judging Hannah's parents, they were extremely stupid in allowing DiMaggio a role in parenting, and, if the girl had a relationship with DiMaggio, you have to fault the parents for allowing them to go on trips, etc.

I still think she was involved somehow and not the "innocent" she is portraying.

I am trying not to be judgemental here but..Hannah Anderson and her social media posts and attention seeking behaviour is way out of the norm for someone who has lost a mother and a brother. I am waiting to see what all those letters say between her and her kidnapper before the murders.
