(Newser) – We all know Ted Nugent loves guns, and apparently his wife does too. Shemane Deziel was arrested yesterday at a Dallas airport because, sources tell TMZ, she allegedly brought a gun into the terminal via her carry-on bag. She "completely forgot or never knew" the handgun was in the bag, her lawyer says, according to the Dallas Morning News (which has her name as Shemane Ann Nugent) "She is very embarrassed," the attorney adds. "She’s never been in this situation before. She has expressed remorse for any inconvenience for any public safety officials." The 51-year-old does have a concealed handgun license.

Its been relegated to a third degree misdemeanor in many states. Texas is one of those states. They don't even get excited anymore. They just take it, issue a court summons, and let the person go. Its simply a fine. What was worse to happen is when Charles Dreyling Jr. walked into Will Rogers with a 20 oz Co2 cannister filled with smokeless powder, an Estes rocket igniter, 20 feet of wire, and a 9 volt battery, all hooked up and ready to go in his carry on duffel bag. Nobody except him, knows for sure what his intent was but the FAA and FBI went ahead and did a test detonation of the "Dreyling Device" at Amarc in Tuscon, Az. They located the device in a similar duffel bag in the overhead bin where Dreyling would have sat. They went ahead and pressurized the cabin to 20,000 feet, the mean altitude of his intended flight. They detonated the device and it split open the fuselage, broke support beams, and did deadly harm to all mannequins in that section. It would have made the jet fall out of the sky. Charles Dreyling Sr. was able to call in markers as an executive of a local Catholic hospital. The mayor of Oklahoma City called in his markers and the whole ordeal was then handled by a pre-trial diversion of a fine and probation. His excuse was he made these bombs while being a student at O.U. and detonated them south of campus. He had made this one, carried it in his backpack to a class on campus, then transferred all the contents to his duffel bag, and went to check into the flight. Had his name been Antwon Deshan Washington, I guarantee you he would still be in F.C.I.

At least Ted didn't crap his pants again to try to have charges dropped, like he did to avoid the draft. Here's a little poem: There once was a rocker named Teddie. Who thought he was ready like Freddie. But when it came time to fight Viet Cong, He crapped his pants and ran home to his Mom!
