(Newser) – A Georgia teenager has been convicted of murder in a particularly jarring case: Jurors say De'Marquise Elkins, now 18, shot a baby in a stroller during an attempted robbery, reports AP. His accused accomplice, 15-year-old Dominique Lang, will be tried next, also as an adult. Police say the teens pulled a gun on Sherry West as she walked her 13-month-old son, Antonio Santiago, in Brunswick. Elkins allegedly shot both the baby and West, in her leg, during the altercation. He faces life in prison but is not eligible for the death penalty because he was 17 at the time of the shooting.

And the black American community wonder why they are still looked down on and treated like 2nd class citizens in this country. It is because of things like this, you make no effort to pull yourselves out of the ghettos and achieve something good with your life. The majority of these young punks would rather commit crimes and murder people than get a real honest job and actually work instead of slinging drugs.

I read some of his excuses on another website....Pathetic little creature. Since because of his age there is no death penalty, so I wish him a long unhappy brutally abused by bigger inmates, life.
