Until the third quarter, the Clippers managed to stay competitive against Western Conference-leading New Orleans, briefly going up 53-52. But then Peja Stojakovic went behind the three-point line to sink five long balls, and the game was in the Hornets' hands for a 111-92 win, reports the Los Angeles Times. Elsewhere in the league:
- In a matchup between Philadelphia and New York, it was anyone's game to lose. This time, the Sixers took that honor, as the Nets exhibited a rare strain of teamwork in the 89-91 win.
- Andres Nocioni had 25 points for Chicago, but Charlotte broke a pattern of caving in the fourth quarter to the Bulls and held on this time for a 90-77 victory.
