Notre Dame handed No. 18 Villanova its second straight Big East loss with a 90-80 win this afternoon, reports the Associated Press. Kyle McAlarney scored 30 points, Luke Harangody had 25 points and 10 rebounds, and the Fighting Irish (14-4, 4-2) hit nine 3-pointers. The Wildcats (13-4, 3-4) lost to Rutgers Wednesday. In other Top 25 action:

  • No. 2 Kansas (20-0, 5-0) jumped out to an early lead and rode 18 points from Darrell Arthur and 17 from Brandon Rush for an 84-49 Big 12 win over Nebraska (11-6, 0-4).
  • Matt Howard scored in double figures for the 12th straight game with 20 points as No. 15 Butler (19-2, 8-2) beat Illinois-Chicago (10-10, 4-5) 73-57 in a Horizon League game.
