(Newser) – Police are searching nationwide and at the Mexican border for a southern Nevada teenager accused of killing his mother and younger brother. Police in Henderson think the killings happened last Tuesday, but the bodies weren't discovered until Friday—the fourth time a relative and the mother's boyfriend called to say they were worried about whether Elvira Canales-Gomez, Adrian Navarro-Canales, and Cesar Navarro were OK. A police officer fetched a key from property managers and discovered the two bodies.

The mom was found dead on the bathroom floor with multiple stab wounds and a butcher knife in her chest. Cesar, 9, was found in the bathtub. He had been stabbed once. Adrian Navarro-Canales—who celebrated his 16th birthday Sept. 16 with his mother, brother, and mother's boyfriend at the apartment—was nowhere to be found. The teen was initially named by police as a possible victim, then identified as the prime suspect in the slayings. An arrest warrant said he would be prosecuted as an adult.

another news source stated, family members said the boy dropped out of school last november, spent most of his time playing video games, been known to push or punch women... chances are, his mother made a comment, cant you be more like your brother and that triggered the event. killing his brother first then his mom..

of course there is no mention of the boyfriend being cleared and why the boyfriend never went to see if there was something wrong...

I am afraid more of teenagers than terrorists. I have few next door, that terrorized my household for three years, until they lost the house to foreclosure. But hey, what goes around comes around everyone gets taste of their own medicine sooner than later. Judging by his name he is here legally and he will have to face the music. Anyone who kills own mother should be put to jail without possibility of parole. This will give them whole life to relieve what they did. I am just in disbelieve about this whole story, I can't grasp it.
