(Newser) – With Darren Collison back in top form, UCLA seems to be even more of a threat than before. The junior point guard had a career-high 33 points in the Bruins' 85-62 thumping of Oregon State, reports the Los Angeles Times. Amid boos and worse, native son Kevin Love scored 16 and hauled in 21 boards. Elsewhere on the college courts:

  • Bob Knight may have 900 victories coaching Texas Tech, but Texas coach Rick Barnes is now 10-0 in home games against the Red Raiders after last night's 73-47 blowout win for the 12th-ranked Longhorns.
  • No. 20 Marquette put the breaks on a two-game slide with a hard-fought 79-71 victory. "It was pretty physical," said Draelon Burns, who had 19 points for DePaul.
