(Newser) Sabrina the Teenage ... Ecstasy User? Clarissa Explains ... Why It's Fun to Do 'Shrooms? Yes, Melissa Joan Hart may have looked like a cherubic child star, but she actually did quite a few drugs in her younger years. She tells all in a new book, Melissa Explains It All, which Life & Style got a look at in advance of its Oct. 29 release. "I experimented with weed, Ecstasy, mushrooms, and mescaline for about a year and a half," Hart tells the magazine. In 1999, she says, she took Ecstasy at the Playboy Mansion and made out with a woman (the magazine calls her makeout partner "a girl," but we're hoping she was at least 18) in the limo on her way home, then did a Maxim photo shoot while still high.

The book also apparently reveals "steamy affairs with co-stars," the magazine reports, and Hart says she also hooked up with "man-whore" Jerry O'Connell and former Backstreet Boy Nick Carter. But her wild years didn't last because "I just didn't enjoy taking drugs," says Hart, who claims she once turned down the opportunity to do cocaine with Paris Hilton. "I don't like the loss of control." Maybe now you wish you'd funded her Kickstarter movie?
