(Newser) – Nadezhda Tolokonnikova has been moved to the medical ward at the Mordovia penal colony, after five days of refusing to eat, Russian state-run media reported today. The 23-year-old Pussy Riot member declared that she was going on hunger strike after her request to move to a different prison was denied. She has been drinking water, but her husband this week alleged that a guard refused to give that water to her. The prison has denied that, with a spokesman saying that they've been obeying doctor recommendations to give her warm water and not use physical force against her, CNN reports.

It gives the chance for a Newser intern to post "Pussy" on the internet, probably the closest to the real thing he has ever gotten?

Maybe a better stunt would be to just protest outside a Russian Orthodox church instead of breaking into it and damaging its icons and artifacts. I mean if you want to protest religion, you don't burn down the churches. You can simply make unorthodox songs, if you will.
