Here's one way to get an apology from an interviewer who was mean to you: Talk about the incident in Billboard. Katy Perry revealed in her recent cover story that, while she was facing the end of her marriage to Russell Brand, she was late to an interview with Barbara Walters ... who responded pretty harshly, comparing Perry to Judy Garland (who died of a drug overdose at age 47; Walters implied the same thing might happen to Perry). Yesterday on The View, Walters apologized, E! reports. "Katy, if I made you feel at all unhappy, during a time when you were obviously unhappy, and I didn't know, I'm sorry," Walters said—but she pointed out she had no idea Perry was going through marriage troubles. "You can't always know!" (More Barbara Walters stories.)
