(Newser) – Designer Marc Jacobs is parting ways with Louis Vuitton after 16 years. 50-year-old Jacobs served as creative director for the brand, and is credited with transforming Louis Vuitton into one of the most profitable fashion houses in existence. Jacobs' contract is almost up with the company, and there had been speculation for a few months that he and business partner Robert Duffy would be leaving. Newsy reports:
