Scandalous: Not a single royal will be among Prince George's godparents, the Times reports. For that matter, none of the Middletons made the cut either. Prince William and wife Kate named three close friends from their school days as their son's godparents yesterday: Fergus Boyd, Emilia d’Erlanger, and Hugh van Cutsem. George will be christened Oct. 23, the New York Daily News reports. Another break from tradition: The ceremony will be at St. James Palace, not Buckingham Palace.

Boyd is apparently the chum to whom Wills whispered, "Wow, Kate's hot," during the St. Andrews University fashion show at which he first really noticed his future wife, according to the Times. He's also lived with Will and Kate, the Huffington Post reports. As for d’Erlanger, she reportedly introduced the royal couple. There will be a total of five or six godparents, so there's still a chance Pippa will be selected. All will be revealed at the christening. (More Prince George of Cambridge stories.)
