Followers can send you message, even if you don't follow them

(Newser) – To receive direct messages from anyone or not to receive direct messages from anyone? That seems to be the question for Twitter users everywhere. A new option allows users to receive such messages from any of their followers, regardless of whether they follow the person in return. Some observers suspect Twitter is trying to make the service friendlier for advertisers and brand accounts as the company approaches IPO. Newsy reports:
