Houston Texans coach Gary Kubiak is in stable condition in the hospital after a medical episode that horrified the home crowd during yesterday's game against the Indianapolis Colts. Kubiak was walking off the field at halftime when he suddenly collapsed near the 20-yard line, ESPN reports. The team says the 52-year-old did not have a heart attack and is being evaluated by specialists.

"He had an episode; he was light-headed and dizzy," Houston general manager Rick Smith said. "We have to assess ... obviously, there's a lot of info. Hopefully, Gary will be back with us tomorrow." The Texans were up 21-3 when Kubiak collapsed, but the rattled team ended up down 24-27 for their sixth straight loss, reports the AP. Kubiak's collapse came the day after Denver Broncos coach John Fox was hospitalized after feeling dizzy during a game of golf. The team says Fox needs heart surgery and will be out for several weeks.
