(Newser) – The son of Republican Sen. Jim Inhofe died yesterday in an Oklahoma plane crash, a source confirms to KOCO. Dr. Perry Inhofe, an orthopedic surgeon, was onboard the plane, and News on 6 reports that he owned the aircraft, but no further details are available. It crashed five miles north of the Tulsa International Airport around 4pm, after issuing an alert asking for assistance at 3:45pm. Authorities say one person died.

It's tough to feel for your pain when your politics have done so much to prolong the suffering of many Americans. I guess you'll have to deal with it, as America has had to deal with your politics.

Most of the heated exchanges I have had with him are in regards to private airplane ownership and the need for a higher personal liability coverage for crashes. No chance it would ever be proposed as long as he's in office. I'm talking in regards to crashes like Cory Liddle and Andrew Joseph Stack III. Liddle's crash caused the condo to file bankruptcy to cover the damages. Wolf's crash destroyed a $20M federal building and the government is still wrangling with his insurer. My proposal was to make all aircraft owners pay into an indemnity fund to cover such things regardless of insurance.
