(Newser) – News that a tugboat's cook had survived being trapped underwater for nearly three days came out six months ago. But it wasn't until this week that video emerged showing the dramatic moment when Harrison Okene's outstretched hands reached toward his rescue divers, and they realized to their astonishment that he was still alive. It was all thanks to a 4-foot pocket of air in the boat, which sank off the coast of Nigeria.

Freezing cold temperatures? If the water was that cold he'd be dead, he's nekkid and wet and has been that way for three days, you can't last more than a few hours at best in freezing temp water. The water temps right now off of the coast of Nigeria are in the 80's, that's bathtub comfy.

I've yet to see a Hollywood movie that made me jump like this video did when Harrison Okene reached his hands into the water to grab that divers hand. The diver gets the hell scared out of him when he grabs his hand too. Great video. Fantastic they were able to rescue him. I was wondering last night when I watched it, will this guy ever work on a ship again in his lifetime after that experience?
