(Newser) – The last time Paul Walker's dad talked to his son, the elder Walker addressed his son's love of taking risks. "I looked at him and I said, ... 'If anything was to happen to anybody in this family, it would be a rough deal.' I said, 'Promise me, no more daredevil stuff,'" Walker Sr. tells E!. He says his son responded, "OK." And TMZ has more eeriness: A video of the fatal crash appears to show "a shadowy image appearing to flail," as the gossip site puts it, leading some to believe Walker survived the impact and tried to escape the car. Police aren't saying anything conclusive at this point.

Walker sounds more and more like a fantastic guy, did lots of charity, overheard a soon to be engaged couple admiring a $9000 engagement ring and bought it for them. We lose too many good people.

My son just recently passed away. My heart goes out the family and friends of Paul. Grieving a child is hard. I pray for the family to be giving the privacy to grieve and for God to give them peace!
