(Newser) – Parts of the Midwest and the Northeast are gearing up for what meteorologists are calling the biggest winter storm of the year. They're calling it winter storm Electra, and she’s charging up as we speak. Winter storm watches and warnings have been issued for this weekend from Missouri to Maine. Boston and New York City can expect at least a couple inches of snow tomorrow afternoon and evening, with heavier accumulations in the interior Northeast.

Corney and the Canadians have been attacking us with snow for the past 2 days with more to come. It's in honor of the War of 1812! 40+ inches on the ground, so far, in some places of WNY!
