(Newser) – The Memphis Grizzlies made history over the weekend by drafting the youngest player in NBA history. Charvis Brewer, 8, has cerebral palsy and can't walk on his own, but that didn't stop the Grizzlies from making his dream come true. With the help of the Make-A-Wish foundation, Charvis signed a contract and is now attending games and practices. He also got a whistle, a draft hat, and he's even starting to take on a coaching role. The youngster also had his own press conference. When reporters asked him what the team should be working on he had an answer for that, too. "Shooting. Doing layups. Dunking. Dunking the ball. Doing alleys. And that's all I got to say." Charvis, wearing No. 11, was welcomed to the team last night when the Grizzlies hosted the Chicago Bulls.
