Chris Osgood had 22 saves to help the Detroit Red Wings shut down the Boston Bruins 3-1 yesterday for their seventh straight win, reports the Associated Press. Pavel Datsyuk scored the tie-breaking goal early in the third period for the Wings, while Henrik Zetterburg and Brian Rafalski also had goals for Detroit. In other NHL action:

  • Marty Turco had 31 saves as the Dallas Stars held off the Calgary Flames 2-1. Niklas Hagman scored the winner in the third period for Dallas.
  • Mike Knuble had his first hat trick in 707 career games to lead the Philadelphia Flyers past the Anaheim Ducks 3-0.
