One Famous Movie Home Sells, Another Is Available
The home of 'Old Man Marley,' in Winnetka, Ill., is for sale.   (Zillow)

It took five years and a series of price reductions, but a home made famous in Ferris Bueller's Day Off is finally under contract. Cameron's home—the place where he sends his dad's Ferrari down a ravine—has gone under contract in Highland Park, Illinois, after the asking price got lowered to $1.25 million, reports the Chicago Tribune. It originally went up for sale in 2009 for $2.3 million and nearly got torn down at one point. If you're still in the market for a movie-famous home in suburban Chicago, the Consumerist notes that Old Man Marley's Winnetka mansion from Home Alone is now on the market for $3.1 million.
