(Newser) – A student was shot and killed yesterday outside an on-campus dorm at South Carolina State University, and police say they've caught the suspected gunman off campus, reports AP. Brandon Robinson, 20, was shot outside a dorm about 1:30pm, reports the State, which lists him as a junior on the school football team. "He was a good student," says the school president.

Police, originally seeking four suspects who fled the scene, haven't speculated about a motive. They arrested 19-year-old Justin Singleton early this morning in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Orangeburg. It's not clear whether he was a fellow student. The incident comes days after a fatal shooting of a teacher assistant at Purdue and a non-fatal shooting of a student at Widener University in Pennsylvania.

It all started with some fried chicken and chitlins. When the jigaboo got up and other one got dancing they started singing one of them rap songs then one reached for the chitlins and the other one said "your momma was raped by a gorilla" and it went south from there...

Somewhere in the world tomorrow there will be another mall, or school, shooting. And it will probably be in the U.S. again.
