(ANDY NEWMAN) (Newser) – Just when you thought the cruise industry had used up its supply of terrible headlines, yet another voyage has been cut short because of illness. Federal health officials are investigating after more than 170 passengers and crew members became sick aboard the Caribbean Princess. The ship returned to port in Houston late yesterday, the Houston Chronicle reports. It's the third cruise outbreak in less than a month and, as with the ship that returned to New Jersey earlier this week, the suspected culprit is the highly contagious norovirus. The ship, owned by Princess Cruises, left Houston on Sunday bound for the Western Caribbean with more than 4,200 people aboard. It had been scheduled to return tomorrow. Passengers will get 20% off a future cruise.
