The Dish calls it the "correction of the day," Mediaite "the most New Jersey correction ever," Poynter "the best correction you'll see all day," and Talking Points Memo the "best correction of the bridge scandal so far." It's hard to argue with any of that. The mea culpa comes from the Star-Ledger of New Jersey, in a story about Chris Christie spokesperson Michael Drewniak:

  • "An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated Drewniak referred to the Port Authority's executive director as a 'piece of crap.' While Drewniak did call him a 'piece of excrement,' it was David Wildstein who referred to the executive director as a 'piece of crap.'"
