Radim Vrbata made sure the Phoenix Coyotes got into overtime and then he made sure they won the game last night. Vrbata scored with 3:11 left in regulation to tie it and then scored again with 1:37 left in overtime as the Coyotes stunned the Colorado Avalanche 4-3, reports the Associated Press. The winner came during a scramble in front of the net.

T.J. Hensick scored his second goal of the game midway through the third for a 3-2 Colorado lead. The Avalanche, who have an 18-9-1 home record, were playing one of only four home games this month. NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman was at the game and said Phoenix assistant coach Rick Tocchet, on two years' probation for gambling, is on pace to return. (More NHL stories.)
